[HMMM WHAT’S THIS.... UNENTHUSIASM OKUNI IS SENSING
It takes more than that to dissuade her from trying to pester Honebami though, even if her head is tilting to the side like an intrigued parrot. She quickly calculates the amount of possible sins she might have committed against Honebami, but honestly she's done so many stupid things this week so far that she can't recall the truly most important thing she's done wrong... It's difficult when you're bad.]
That's right. I immediately thought of you when I read the quest about fighting faeries. Don't you think it's time they get a taste of their own medicine?
[ Well he won't say no to her pestering because he can't really hate her for the thing that apparently makes him just a bit less warm. Heck, he's already getting his sword and securing the scabbard snugly. ]
I would be satisfied with that.
[ He's actually be pretty happy, really. But he's still unenthused. Also, a pause. ]
I wonder if they've gotten that bad that it's a quest now.
[This is strange. Normally, Okuni never thinks back on her wrongdoings because she's used to people frowning at the sight of her, but it bothers her more than she'll admit to see Honebami look unenthused... (maybe it's because deep in Okuni's kokoro she likes bami-chan...) but he also at least seems pleased at the idea of faerie fighting!]
Perhaps? Or maybe they're tired of watching us fight each other and want to get in on the action themselves? I haven't been here for very long, but I still can't say I understand any of these quests.
[ Yes, he's pleased at that at least. Bami-chan is good at handling combat and he'd feel like he's gathering dust if he doesn't keep in shape. ]
I haven't been here long either. I guess the reasons doesn't matter very much when they give rewards to those who complete quests anyway.
[ Reason to do them, even if they can give out some weird presents. As they make their merry(?) to the forest where those cursed fairies reside though, Honebami pipes up. ]
[HIS MILD SUFFERING IS VERY PRETTY, but also the idea of Honebami never being scolded is cute too?? So he's the younger sibling type who gets doted on.... like Okuni, she'd think if she was a little more self-aware, instead she looks at Honebami and thinks of Baren when she gets to baby him.]
I never get scolded by my brother. [this is why she's like this] He's very gentle too!
[okuni believes this huge-ass lie...]
I think I understand a little better now... I'd want to hide things from Mutsu too. He's too loud -- and he nags too much! It's annoying.
[ At least Bami will make light of it. Look, even menaces like Okuni have loved ones and that's what's important. Two siblings being cute and causing twitchy ears for Mutsunokami, the responsible fake oniichan. Citation is needed a lot here. ]
I think it's part of his... charm. He has a big heart.

Okuni-san... you told Mutsunokami-san.
[ YEAH. ]

Oh. . .
[Okuni thought she was physically incapable of feeling guilt of any kind, you learn new things every day.
What Okuni should do: Immediately Apologize
What Okuni Does: hem and haw for ten seconds]
I didn’t mean to tell him! I said we fought, but I didn’t tell him who won!

He was more upset I wanted to hide it from him. The fault isn't really on you.
[ But Honebami is still :T because he is mentally a young teenager ].

it's
endearing...]
Why did you want to hide it from him in the first place? Do you not like getting scolded?
no subject
No, I don't like being scolded. My older brother is very gentle, so I am not used to it.
[ The citadel could be in complete chaos and Honebami would be calm as ever, standing on the side
watching as some mischievous sword gets chased down by Hasebe. ]
What about you, Okuni-san?

I'm glad you have a brother you love very much.
